Instructor Training Course

Empathy Pilates is committed to providing the highest level of Pilates Instructor Training available in Australia.

This comprehensive syllabus is custom made for those instructors looking for work in a ‘studio’ environment.

You will master Classical and Modern repertoire covering:

Matwork - incorporating the use of rollers, Fit balls and other Pilates based accessories.
    Universal Reformer
    Trapeze Table / Cadillac
    Wunda Chair

Upon completion all students will be eligible to register for the nationally recognised Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) Level 2 Studio Certification.

Alongside the extensive contact tuition, the course will also incorporate an apprenticeship component, which was an important part of Joseph Pilates’ original training and is still an integral part of the quality tuition available with today’s premier training schools. All candidates will be required to complete over 200 hours of supervised teaching under the guidance of our highly experienced practitioners.

Training groups are limited to a maximum of 15 students. This ensures that each trainee receives specific individual attention. The focus is placed on both the classical repertoire (as described by Joseph Pilates in his book ‘Your Health’, published in 1939) as well as the evolved Pre-Pilates exercises.

Trainees will have plenty of time during their course to continue taking classes in order to work on their own bodies, and are actively encouraged to do so, resulting in considerable personal development throughout their training.
